Cost Reference

Billing is based on real consumption: AI tokens processed, translation services, and infrastructure. The two main cost drivers are input volume (tokens from patient description, uploaded documents, or images) and input language (non-English inputs require translation). Estimates below assume a typical diagnosis request (~500 tokens of text input, no attachments).

Input volume is the primary cost driver. Every token sent to the API is billed — this includes the patient description, any uploaded documents (PDF, Word, EHR exports), and images. A short description (~200 tokens) costs significantly less than a detailed clinical history or attached report (~2,000–5,000 tokens). Estimates in the table above assume ~500 tokens.

Non-English inputs incur additional translation costs (Azure AI Translator) applied before and after AI processing. For short descriptions, translation can represent a large share of the total cost — which is why the non-English column is significantly higher.

Advanced mode (o3) routes requests through a chain of advanced AI providers for maximum reasoning quality. Token costs per request are 3–5× higher than standard mode. The actual provider used may vary per request; billing always reflects real consumption.
